About the Artist
Ed Desmarteau performs a unique blend of classic and southern rock songs that incorporate audience participation. His audiences love to sing along and he can fill the dance floor. He also mixes in a few pure originals that captures the essence of his sound.
Singer/Songwriter Ed Desmarteau has performed in a number of bands, most notably “Little Big Band”, which entertained audiences in the Northwest for years. They were nominated twice and selected to be on KZEL FM station’s prestigious "Oregon's Best Rock” album. An original song chosen to be on the album “Take My Hand”, co- written by Ed and his guitarist Steve Cochran, was highly requested and in heavy rotation on the radio airwaves.
In 2015, Ed Desmarteau auditioned in Los Angeles for NBC’s hit show “The Voice” and was called back for a follow up audition, but due to a family emergency, was not able to attend.
Ed has since performed in a very popular duo called “Ed & George Known as EDGE” and is currently the founding member and a lead vocalist of “The EDGE BAND”. He also books out for Solo performances and continues to be called back to every venue he has performed in.
Ed continues to write songs (and has been in the studio to record), which include a tribute to the late Glenn Frey of the Eagles called “With the Angels Tonight” and “You’ve Gotta Drive cuz I’m Gonna Drink” along with a few others.
