A cooler vintage led to a later bud break, but summer warmth set harvest back on schedule. Early rains and a September cool down stalled sugar levels, allowing flavors to develop and acidity to remain high, ideal for this late season ripener.
PROFILE: Intense purple to sangria hues, lifted candied red cherry, subtle blackberry liqueur combine New World fruit flavors with the minerality of ancient volcanic soils present in the famed Peninsula Block. Subtle oak keeps the focus on the fruit, while maintaining characteristic dusty tannins and lingering finish for which Red Willow is famous.
