2016 Pinot Noir Champoeg, Willamette Valley
Harvested from old vine plantings of Pommard and Wadenswil clone Pinot Noir, these craggy, knotty, knarled vines gave all they could muster creating tiny, compact clusters. Carefully sorted and caringly fermented, the resulting must was delicately pressed into French oak barrels and puncheons and selected by our winemaker to receive an additional 16 months of barrel aging.
Perfect combination of earth, cedar box, red fruit and sweet barrel spice create an elegant wine of satiny texture and refreshing acidity.
